I woke up this morning to a surprise...snow! We got about 2 inches..maybe 2 1/2. This is our 4th big snow this year. After breakfast this morning I got Parker bundled up to go outside and play. The previous 3 snows he has not wanted to play in it. I'm not sure why I thought he would want to play in it today. He cried and wanted me to hold him. I have always loved playing in the snow and would love to let Parker win at a snowball fight. But, no. I tried going into the backyard to play. I threw snowballs at Ellie and Emma (no snow balls for Alex...he's blind and that wouldn't be very nice!) Parker thought that was funny but it only lasted a few minutes.
One of Parker's favorite and I mean FAVORITE thing to do is "drive." He loves sitting in either of our cars with the keys playing with all the buttons and levers in there. (Don't worry, he doesn't start the engine.) He always has to have Ellie in the car with him. He loves all of his dogs but Ellie seems to be his driving buddy. I thought it would be clever of me to let Parker play in the car with Ellie while I play in the snow. So while keeping an eye on he and Ellie in the car I started building a snowman. Emma and Alex were out in the front yard with me and they were enjoying the snow too. After just a few minutes Parker told me he wanted to go inside. *sigh* Inside we go. Maybe next year he will have more fun...I hope!
We stayed around the house this weekend. We didn't go to church yesterday because Parker seemed to be in a grumpy mood. Last night after Parker's bath he was sitting in Bradley's lap eating a snack. I was sitting in my recliner with Alex. Alex is really a docile dog and feels most comfortable in someone's lap. I was holding him like a baby, rubbing his belly, telling him how much I love him etc. etc. Parker stares at me for about 15 seconds, gets out of Bradley's lap, walks over to me and states, "Alex, down!" It came out very clear and I couldn't help but laugh. I guess Parker was wanting some of his mommy's love too.
