Random thoughts.

Just some random thoughts.

1) Do you watch Big Brother? I do. I'm really excited that it is coming back on this Thursday. They say that two past houseguests are coming back on the show...I am really hoping it is not Brendan and Rachel.

2) Parker is in a say "no" phase. If you ask him anything, his answer will likely be "no." He's still cute though.

3) Parker and I ventured into Cave City last week. We found one place on the side of the road that was selling fruits and veggies. But, no watermelons. The lady told me, "We usually have them by now but all the rain we had drown-ded them out." Is drown-ded even a word? Do people not realize that's not how it is pronounced?

4) Why people buy dogs, this is something I will never in my life ever understand. There are so many precious homeless dogs living in shelters. There are so many fabulous adult dogs that sit in shelters for years! (yes, years!) I dare people who want to buy a dog to go to a shelter and look around. Look into the eyes of the dogs in the cages. Research the statistics on how many dogs are put to sleep. Go to a kill-shelter and look into those eyes. Please don't breed or buy dogs. Rescue, Rescue, Rescue. Save a life....adopt.

5) Down the street from us, a guy owns a small trucking company that hauls rocks. Every weekday there are 5 big dump trucks that leave and come back. Parker can hear them coming and will scream, "DUMP TRUCK! MOMMA! DUMP TRUCK" Which then we have to run out to see it and he waves and they toot their big horn and Parker is in Big truck heaven. We also found out that the same guy that owns the trucks has a horse named Red. The guy is really nice and said we could pet Red anytime we wanted. So, now, about twice a day we take a walk down the street and look at all the drump trucks, tractors, and look for Red. The guys that drive the truck are always nice to Parker and two of them have let him climb into their big dump trucks and look around. One even let Parker toot the big dump truck horn. He thought that was pretty cool.

6) We've been picking blackberries like crazy. CRA-ZY! My mom made two blackberry cobbler's and I made a blackberry pie the other day. We have about 14 (or so) more cups of them? Anyone know any good recipe's for blackberries??

7) Parker has been saying, "more minutes" when it is time for a nap or bedtime.

8) We've been doing a little potty training. He does really good when we are home and he is running around with his bare bottom showing. But if he has big boy undies on he pee's in them. He's got a "treasure box" in his bathroom...for when he pee's he gets to pick one thing out of there. At least he's working on it...which I think is pretty good for a little 2 year old.
